Fashion weeks have and remain to be the first place and occasion where the fashion world gathers with news. This news often leads to setting new trends, both in the fashion and beauty department. As the most famous designers put all of their effort into creating the next trendy piece, behind the scenes is where the all hustle is about. Photographers, makeup artists, stylists, tailors and many more are working 100% to give the best look of the fore coming show. From this year’s Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris we bring you the trendiest makeup looks.
Dior’s dramatic lashes
Dior has always been about drama. This time, they focused on the eye lashes as their primary makeup inspiration. It’s makeup artist Peter Philips explained that this is the season to think of a new way of expressing the beauty of the lashes and experiment a bit. The graphic projection he created was extreme exaggeration but it made to the top of the makeup lists now. Using a black and white liner, he created long precise lashes on the upper and lower eyelids. This also framed and shaped the eyes and served up as new upcoming makeup trend.
Chanel’s Electric rose
Kaia Gerber, the daughter of the famous model Cindy Crawford, was the center of Chanel’s show. Namely, the dress she wore was embellished with feathers and florals, which brought out the soft, feminine side of spring. Her makeup was coordinated to the spring motifs of traditional French gardens with a bright and glossy pink lips.
Valli’s shiny skin
The accent on the healthy and glowy skin was put during all 2017. As many artists are suggesting that the natural makeup look is the best one, the models on the Giambattista Valli’s runways were totally natural in that aspect. The skin was put at first place, in all its natural bare look – shiny skin with addition of highlighter and moisturizer. And believe it or not, that was Vaseline.
Van Herpen’s colored eyeliner
The colored eyeliner made its comeback this year at Iris Van Herpen’s runway. Her models did not have any visible makeup on their faces – again we saw sporting natural look as much as possible. But the only thing that counted for that bare look was the neon eyeliner.
Armani’s graphic false lashes
Armani has always had the best shows because they combine the bold runway, with bold designs and bold makeup. And it looks like it never goes out of style for them. At the Prive runway, the makeup artists worked towards accenting the eyes, more precisely the lashes. This was done by adding false lashes. They were combined with glitter, black eyeliner and bold eyeshadow, all adding to the canvas of watercolor and sky-inspired hues.
