We cannot all be pros at doing makeup – that is for sure. But, we tend to! All the reading, beauty videos and tutorials on the internet are more than helpful. Through them, we keep up with the newest trends and techniques when it comes to the makeup and upgrade our skills. However, there are still mistakes that are made in the whole process of doing makeup. Some of them are made because of the lack of time, some because of insufficient knowledge and some even because we did not care enough to put our mind to it. To stop and prevent these mistakes from happening, here is the list of the most often ones that we all do:
Not cleaning the makeup brushes
Cleaning the makeup brushes is time-consuming process, that is true. But as the hygiene comes first, the brushes have to be cleaned from time to time. This will prevent the skin from breaking out which affects the whole look and makeup.
The bronzer is not for the whole face
For achieving a fake tan on the face, use of the bronzer is strictly forbidden. That is because the hairline and the neck will remain to be pale and that is terrible look. The bronzer should be gently applied to edges of the nose, cheekbones, chin and forehead.
Sleeping with makeup
This might be the worst mistake of all makeup mistakes. Sleeping with makeup is like a death to your skin. If you sleep with your makeup on, your skin will old sooner, you will see enlarged pores and even break out. No matter the time you go to bed, 15 seconds will be enough to clean it with cleansing wipes.
Wrong application of the concealer
Applying the concealer on top of the dark circles might seem like a logical move, but it should be applied like triangle, upside –down, because that is the way it creates brightening effect.
Waterproof mascara is not for every day
The waterproof formula in the mascaras is very hard to remove and it is also very drying to the lashes. Because of the hard removal, some of the lashes might fall, so if you really do not need to wear the waterproof one, go for the regular. It is much better option.
Wearing too much foundation
Wearing too much foundation almost always looks and results as if you are wearing a mask. And that is something not nice. To avoid that look, focus on the T-zone, around the nose and under the eyes, where you can accent the foundation.
Curling the lashes with mascara
First comes the curling, then the mascara, not the way around.
Keeping the makeup for too long
Every makeup product has an expiration date. It varies from months to two years. Learn to throw out your makeup – bad makeup will give bad look, even might cause irritations to the skin, eyes and lips.
