Global icon, Rihanna, is a celebrity that has her perfectly-manicured fingers in all sorts of pies, renowned across the globe for her business acumen.
This is why her beauty business, Fenty Beauty, has been such a glittering success, with the brand selling all sorts of skincare and make-up products worldwide.
Setting beauty trends on Instagram on a constant basis, the industry is always poised to see what creative looks Fenty Beauty will come up with next.
This week, one of the company’s global MUA’s, the famous Hector Espinal, shared his make-up tips for this year’s festival season.
Promoting Fenty’s latest range ‘Getting Hotter’, he explores what make-up looks and techniques are ‘in’ this season.
Colour, colour and more colour
While many of us tend to go for glowy golden looks as the weather heats up, Espinal encourages us to get more creative with colours this summer.
“I think everyone is exploring with eyeliners and lipsticks and really having fun this summer, so you definitely want to embrace pops of colour” he suggests.
Shimmer
Healthy looking skin should be everyone’s mission according to the celeb artist. This can be achieved with various layers of foundation, contouring and of course, shimmer products.
“Shimmers are also big. You can’t go wrong with a very high metallic Killawatt. Personally I love Diamond Bomb, it just makes your skin look wet. And Wattabrat is my new favourite”
he continues.
Freckles
From Rihanna herself to Perrie Edwards of Little Mix, we are seeing more and more celebs embrace their natural beauty and showcase their freckles. In fact, we are even witnessing a new trend of women and men drawing on freckles! This is something Espinal promotes, prompting everyone to get creative when peppering the face with freckles. He also says that Fenty’s new eyeliner is the perfect product to do it with.
“For me when I look at these eyeliners, I love it for the eyes but if you’re arty you can use them for a lip liner, or maybe some freckles for a festival. Even paint some flowers, they’re so pigmented” he says.
