This year’s Love Island is arguably the most exciting series to date, with new drama unfolding every night at 9pm. From harsh dumps and shock exits to Craig David rocking up at the villa to perform a set, we have a lot to talk about when it comes to the ITV show.
However, this week, Maura’s foundation has been the talk of the Internet. Where some MUAs are crediting her for her bold eye make-up and innovative shadowing techniques, others are criticising the way she applies her foundation, with the word ‘orange’ being branded around quite a lot.
But, Twitter went wild as the brunette stunner headed to the beach hut to discuss her relationship with Curtis earlier in the week. Rather than commenting on what she had to say, her neck and face colour clash were the focus of many tweets.
One Twitter user wrote: “Maura needs to allow her foundation. Her face is a whole different colour to her neck & body #LoveIsland.”
Another said: “Who’s matched maura’s foundation shade? They need sacking #LoveIsland.”
Another stated: “Maura looks like she’s wearing a mask with that foundation line on her neck Jesus wept #loveisland.”
And, this is not the first time we have seen negative tweets about the Islander’s look.
What do you think about these comments? In our opinion, make-up is and should be a very personal thing and if the way Maura has applied hers makes her happy, then that’s a great. Let’s use social media to empower women and encourage them to showcase themselves through make-up, not bring them down. Do you agree?
